DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:ABSTRACT: Universities and other non-profit research institutions are exploring options for delivering secure, high-performance services to help researchers deal with the growing volume of data on their campuses. Globus is currently used for file transfer and sharing at over 100 institutions, and by national cyberinfrastructure providers such as XSEDE and NERSC. This BOF will convene campus computing and other HPC practitioners to discuss their experiences with Globus and related technologies for research data management. We will provide a brief update on Globus and invite select Globus users to present their use cases as context for an open discussion with the audience.
